Summer Math Program 2015

Middle school

10% of your 1st quarter grade will be based on the Summer Math.

    Rules

• Complete at least 25 problems on each assigned objective.
• A grade will be assigned based on percentage of correct problems starting on Friday, May 22 and ending on  August 16, 2015.
• You are allowed to do more than 25 problems on each objective to improve your percentage.
• Only the problems completed during this time frame will be counted towards their percentage.

5th Grade objectives

• Rounding
• Put integers in order
• Compare integers
• Compare decimals and fractions on number lines
• Compare decimals and fractions
• Choose decimals with a particular sum or difference
• Multiply decimals and whole numbers: word problems
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and mixed numbers: word problems
• Place values in decimal numbers
• Round decimals

6th Grade objectives

• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and mixed numbers: word problems
• Multiply three or more mixed numbers, fractions, and/or whole numbers
• Add three or more integers
• Solve two-step equations
• Solve equations involving like terms
• Add and subtract like terms
• Solve one-step linear inequalities
• Graph linear functions
• Round decimals
• Word names for decimal numbers
• Absolute value and opposite integers

7th Grade objectives

• Compare and order integers
• Solve equations involving like terms
• Graph solutions to two-step linear inequalities
• Graph a line from an equation
• Find slope from two points
• Simplify expressions involving integers
• Solve percent equations: word problems
